Youth Advisory Committee
CMS-D has a Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) which helps guide
the youth programs. The members of the committee
are youth
of the Jane-Finch community who are leaders. Through their own
initiatives, the YAC looks for ways to identify,
understand, and
promote non-violent approaches to conflict in the community. Past
members have developed initiatives to
create youth publications, have raised funds to attend international youth conferences, and have been interviewed on youth
talk shows.
